Beth James is an emerging artist who works primarily in watercolour and collage. She is known for her large scale abstract watercolour paintings that convey the complexity of the human experience: the tension between chaos and structure, confusion and understanding, dissonance and aesthetics. She holds a graduate certificate from the Haliburton School of Art and Design and a BA in visual arts from York University. She continually investigates the artistic process, always pushing her materials and ideas in order to grow creatively. She currently resides in Newtonville Ontario.
