Bonnie studied sculpture and printmaking at Emily Carr Institute of Art and Design, graduation with her BFA in 1998. She is also a psychotherapist with an MSW, in private practice. Since 2013 she has been incorporating ideas from her therapy practice into her art-making- ideas that include the effect of memory on story-telling, notions of subjective experience, and the importance of selecting details from experience to make a meaningful life. She continues to make art by cutting up work on canvas to create low relief textured panels. She is very interested in disrupting the usual assumptions about art and its value, through artist/viewer interactions.
