Mixed Media, Booth 724
Dalia Elcharbini is a contemporary Palestinian-Canadian artist based in Ontario Canada. Her subject matter is inspired by patterns found in nature, poetry and the ancient Chinese philosophy of Taoism. A philosophy which emphasizes leading a life directed by your gut and living in harmony with the laws of nature. This cosmic force which flows through all things and connects us to everything. Her work aims to tap into the human mind and elevate the viewer into a state of higher consciousness. She describes her style as Surrealist-Realism; an attempt to capture life-like subjects but not necessarily human. Her body of work is often recognized for the powerful contrast between her two primary mediums of choice, graphite and gold leaf.
