Painting, Booth 125
Growing up in New York City and living in Toronto since 1980, I have always been inspired by the vibrancy of my surroundings. Earlier my paintings depicted the feelings of aerial views of cities and towns as well as the many celebrations that are part of the liveliness of city living. My paintings have evolved into a kaleidoscope of patterns using the playfulness of colour and shapes to enhance, intensify and elevate the visual experience of the designs. I work as if completing a puzzle, creating patterns that evoke a sense of movement and harmony. My art is a process based on what I feel inwardly and my interpretation of the experience I have with my surroundings.
