Painting, Booth 118

Eleanor Lowden's practice is focused on exploring patterns and repetition of form. Her main sources of inspiration are crowds of people, umbrellas, trees, polka dots, mass cultural objects, and most recently, candy. Through these differing subjects, Lowden continually explores unique compositions while creating bright, luminous paintings built up through many layers of acrylic paint. "I want the viewer to spend time contemplating both the painting process and the story thatĀ I amĀ telling" Eleanor lives and creates in her home studio in Toronto, Ontario, Canada
