Sculpture, Booth 601

Influenced by contrasts; between natural and urban environments, balance and imbalance, motion and spatial relation, texture and colour. This work incorporates hand-fabricated elements in cold-formed metals with found objects and mixed media, wood, stone, feathers, or bones.  Miniature to monumental in scale, subjects range between pure abstraction, landscape, and figurative work, and have found homes internationally in private and public collections. “The essence of my work lies in breaking form into its most basic and necessary lines, revealing the purist attitudes and emotions of the subject of a sculpture. I’m drawn to the methods of sculpting in metal where harsh industrial processes performed on a cold and rigid medium can yield an air of elegance, softness and beauty.”
