Sarah Kernohan’s work is based on memory, memory recall of natural imagery, and a direct response to the landscape that she approaches with a sense of wonder, reverence, awe and mystery. Her drawings evoke landscape and geological processes. She received her MFA at the University of Waterloo (2015) and received a BFA in Drawing and Painting from OCAD (2008). Recent exhibitions include those at Gallery Stratford, Stratford, ON; Galerie AVE, Montreal, QC; the Terrain Biennial, Waterloo, ON. Her work is in private and public collections including the Perimeter Institute for Theoretical Physics, Waterloo. She is the recipient of several awards; including the Ontario Graduate Scholarship, Keith and Win Shantz Fellowship, and grants from the Ontario Arts Council.
