Wendy Robertson

Painting, Booth 1038

I paint secret places found when hiking in northern Ontario and Canada's National Parks. The intent is to share the experience and sensations of 'being there'.  Stand back and the subject looks realistic. Stand close, these are Nature's abstractions. Thick paint applied with a palette knife sculpts the purity and authenticity of natural surfaces. Various textures, strokes, colors and values are layered, contoured and glazed to persuade tangible realism.
