Marina Nazarova is a Russian-Canadian visual artist based in Toronto ON. She holds a BFA in Painting from Emily Carr University of Art and Design, Vancouver BC. In her figurative paintings she mainly uses oil and acrylic on canvas and wood panels. The majority of Marina’s work revolves around people and spaces, as she investigates themes of personal identity, duality and shifting perceptions. She draws her inspirations from everyday life and found materials. She tends to explore familiar imagery suggesting a subtle transition from one reality to another. In the last several years Marina has been involved in community-based mural projects. She has exhibited locally and internationally.
