Painting, Booth 134
Natasha Lehman is a landscape painter with a semi abstract expressionist style. An intuitive painter, she feels a pull between wanting some works to be abstract but still representational. Her style is gestural and spontaneous. A colourist as well, she uses colour to convey the meaning in a piece. She paints in layers, starting with a contrasting first layer, so the colours will peak through adding depth and texture. She is inspired mostly by Canadian Landscapes, including different areas of BC she travels to and the Georgian Bay area where her studio is. Most of her works are oil paintings, although some are done in acrylic.
