Painting, Booth 1037
I’ve had a successful career as a storyboard and concept illustrator in the Toronto advertising scene. I’m now transitioning to fine art painting. As someone who’s been drawing digitally for the last 25 years it’s nice to get the hands dirty again. I’d call myself a traditional, representational painter who enjoys both plein-air painting and studio work. I’m predominantly a landscape painter but still life and figurative work are also subject matter that appeal to me. My studio and plein-air work are painted in oils; however, I’m also passionate about my travel sketchbooks and fill them with ink and gouache studies. This past year I have won awards at both plein-air festivals and juried art shows.
