Painting, Booth 609
Tamara Soto is an abstract painter working primarily with oil and cold wax. Her work is abstract in nature implying and suggesting the landscape as a meditative space for contemplation. Her approach is to use colors intuitively, engaging in the moment. Painting becomes a conversation, a search of the unknown, where the elements in the painting create a sense of mystery and an open field for the imagination. Tamara’s inspiration comes from nature, travels and the colors of her native country Bolivia. She travelled and lived in many countries to finally settle in Canada in 2003. She currently works as a fulltime painter in Guelph, Ontario.
